In 1968, a new series of publications was inaugurated under the title of “Archaeological and Historical Studies”. In fact the initiation for this new series came from the activities of the late Dr. Daoud Abdou Daoud who thought of opening a new gate for Egyptian researchers after it had become clear that through irregularity of appearance, the once internationally reputed Bulletin was no longer attracting international attention and participation. Up to 1983 seven of these studies were published. Though the series may have lapsed for some time, by the end of 1993 the 8th volume had appeared. The 9th was published in 2002. Then the 10th and 11th were published in 2005 and 2006. The 12th volume was published in 2009 and the 13th in 2010, the 14th in 2011, 15th in 2014 and 16th is now in preparation.
